FOUND GUILTY BY FACEBOOK<\/span><\/h2>\n

Take a look at this picture…<\/span><\/p>\n

Have you decided whether the driver of the blue car is guilty or innocent?<\/span><\/p>\n

“Guilty of what, David? What are you on about?” I hear you say!<\/span><\/p>\n

Let me explain…<\/span><\/p>\n

The picture was posted on Facebook a couple of weeks ago.<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s in a hospital car park.<\/span><\/p>\n

I saw exactly the same picture<\/em> in two separate community groups that I follow.<\/span><\/p>\n

But how different the reactions were…<\/span><\/p>\n

In group one, along with the picture was a question:<\/span><\/p>\n

Why park like this? They didn’t even have a disabled badge.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So the comments began…<\/span><\/p>\n

The first commenter said:<\/span><\/p>\n

Wonder if they got a ticket slapped on their windscreen.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What followed next was a whole load of abuse aimed at the driver for being inconsiderate, having parked in a disabled area without a badge and on the yellow cross-hatched area.<\/span><\/p>\n

What a xxxxx the driver turned out to be!<\/span><\/p>\n

Now I’m no psychologist, but, to me, that’s a clear case of social proof<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

What do you mean by that, David?<\/span><\/p>\n
